Entry Requirements: A minimum of a Grade 6 in GCSE History and a 6 in GCSE English Language,
in addition to five 5-9 grades.
Why study this course?
History is an endlessly fascinating subject with infinite possibilities and perspectives. You’ll reach into the past, delving into the conspiracies and stories that have shaped our present. You’ll learn the truth behind historical events and people, discover what influenced and inspired the iconic names of the past and learn the effects they have had on the world in which we now live.
This course is a natural progression from GCSE and is excellent preparation for further study in a range of Humanities subjects at degree level, including Law, Politics, History and Sociology. The focus on Modern History should make this subject particularly relevant to students interested in the modern world, how it has been shaped and the background to many of the challenges and conflicts faced by people today. It is a course highly regarded by all universities and employers.
